The wall dog screw is a picture hanging screw with a special non-combustible, heat-treated tip for puncturing metal and wood studs. This powerful hanger is a screw and wall anchor in one, so skip the drill and anchor when penetrating hard surfaces and install directly using a Phillips screwdriver. The wall dog screw is also known as a one-step, no-anchor fastener for French cleats.

Drill a 3/16” pilot hole if your wall is a plaster wall, brick, or concrete. Skip to step 3 if your wall type is none of these.

Drive the wall dog screw directly into drywall, metal, or wooden substrates using a screwdriver.
