Tremor hooks are safety hangers designed to prevent framed art from falling off a shaking wall or easily slipping off a nail or hook. Also called KidSafe Hangers, tremor hangers are best used in spaces prone to shaking or swaying, such as from slamming doors, trains, earthquakes, and on boats. Wire snaps ensure a secure hold and prevent a picture from being bumped off, while pointed steel nails leave only pin-sized holes.

Instructions
- Mark the position of the hanger on the wall using a pencil, then hold the tremor hook in the marked position.
- Hammer the nails gently into the nail sockets until the hook is flush against the wall. The raised nail sockets on the hook will guide the nails into the wall at the proper 45-degree angle. Avoid overhammering as it can compromise the hook’s holding power and damage your wall.
- If using two hooks, space them apart evenly and repeat steps 1-2.
TIP: When hanging hook & wire hung picture frames, pictures will hang straighter and be more secure over time with two tremor hangers. - Hang the frame.
- To remove a tremor safety hanger, pull the nail back at a 45-degree angle with a slight twisting motion using fingers or soft-faced pliers. Prying hooks away from the wall with a screwdriver or a similar tool will often damage the wall surface.
- To reuse a tremor safety hanger, ensure the hook and nails have not been bent or deformed.
