About the product
Security wall brackets are wall hardware for hanging frames with a security kit. They align with the mounting plates attached to the back of the frame and can be used to hang both wooden and metal frames. The bracket’s wide screw hole is compatible with many types of hardware, which makes for easy and convenient installation.

Instructions

Place the frame face-down on a soft surface.

Attach the mounting plates to the back of the frame. For wood frames, mount two plates on top (2” from the side edges) and one at the bottom (centered). Pre-drill screw holes to avoid splitting the wood. For larger wood frames, install a fourth plate on the bottom rail 2” from the side edge.
For metal frames, you’ll only need one mounting plate at the bottom.

Align the upper mounting plates with the brackets’ positions on the wall. Mark the spots.

Mark your desired position of the top edge of the frame on the wall.

Drill two 1/4" dia. holes in the wall about 1 1/4" down from where you want the top edge of the frame and spaced apart at the distance measured in step 3. Make sure that these holes are as level as possible.

Insert the plastic anchors provided.

Using the 1" screws, install the two wall brackets so that the flanged ends of the brackets face up and away from the wall. Do not over-tighten the screws.

Slide the frame down on the wall until the mounting plates sit on the brackets.
