About the Mega No-Stud 200 lb Hook
- Drywall Hook for heavy art, no stud required
- Works in 1/2" and 5/8" Thick Drywall
- Holds up to 200 pounds as long as drywall is in good condition
- Unique hook design allows the load to be carried by the wall itself instead of the nails holding it in the drywall. Requires a 1/4 inch hole in wall to slip the hook into drywall
Instructions
- Drill or punch an approximately 1/4" dia. hole in the drywall at the position you want the No-Stud Hook to be, using a phillips screwdriver, awl or drill.
- Insert the pointed end of the hook into the hole, lifting as you push it through the hole, until the back portion of the hook is seated up against the inside surface of the drywall.
- Pull the hook back out slightly and slip the oval face plate onto the front of the hook, then reinsert the hook so that it is snug against the face plate surface.
- Nail the face plate to the wall using the three nails provided.
Easy to install in drywall without finding a stud.
