About the product
A threaded insert is a cylindrical metal piece with internal threading, designed to be inserted into pre-drilled holes. It creates a threaded socket for installing screws, bolts, or other fasteners. These silver threaded inserts for wood provide a secure, long-lasting hold when joining wood, chipboard, and plywood.

Instructions:
-
Mark where you want the
threaded insert to go.
-
Pre-drill the hole with a 5/16” drill bit. The depth will depend on the fastener or screw you use for the project.
-
For a stronger hold, add a few drops of epoxy to the insert before securing it to the wood. This will help the insert stay in place.
-
There are three ways you can place the threaded insert into the pre-drilled hole:
-
- Place the threaded insert into the hole and use an Allen wrench to twist it until it’s flush with the wood.
- Insert a hex cap screw into the threaded insert, drive it into the wood with a T-wrench or ratchet screwdriver, then remove the hex cap screw once the insert is in place.
- Use a hammer and lightly tap the insert into the hole until it’s flush with the wood.
-
Let the epoxy sit for a bit and give it time to cure.
