About the product

Sign standoffs are hanging hardware for mounting glass or acrylic panels. Standoff mounting hardware is a great way to showcase your company logo and informational signs, making it perfect for hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, airports, offices, and other commercial areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q How do I install sign standoffs and what tools or hardware do I need?

To install sign standoffs, you will need a drill with bits, screwdriver, level, measuring tape, pencil/marker, and wall anchors appropriate for your wall type.

Q Can I remove standoff fixings without damaging my walls?

Yes, standoff fixings can be removed without damaging your walls if done carefully. Unscrew the caps, take down the sign, then back out the screws holding the barrels. If anchors were used, gently pry them out or push them into the wall. You may only need light patching (spackle and touch-up paint) to make the holes disappear.

Q How much weight can sign standoffs safely hold?

The weight capacity of standoffs varies by material and size, but ours can typically support between 11 lbs and 22 lbs. Read more about different types of standoffs here: Everything You Need to Know About Sign Standoffs

Q What wall types are sign standoffs compatible with?

Sign standoffs are compatible with most wall types including drywall, wood, concrete, brick, tile, and plaster, as long as the correct wall anchors and drill bits are used for the surface.

Q What kinds of frames or decor work best with sign standoffs?

Standoff screws work best with rigid, flat materials that can be drilled, such as acrylic signs, metal panels, glass panels, wood plaques, and display boards. They're ideal for modern, floating-style signage like office directories, wayfinding signs, branded displays, menu boards, and decorative wall panels.
