Lead Anchor Extra T-Lock for Brick/Concrete Wall

S-SEC-2XBrick

About the product

The T-head security screw is a T-shaped screw that locks frames into the bracket on a frame. It keeps the frame stable and diverts the risk of falling, theft, and earthquake damage. For frames wider than 24", these professional security screws provide extra support and security by an additional mounting point at the bottom of the frame, one at each corner of the bottom rail instead of only one at the center.

  • Optional extra hanging hardware set for locking art pieces to brick or concrete, especially high-value art and decor, in wood frames over 24" wide or with French cleats

  • Measures 1 9/16” long and ½” wide, lead anchor measures 1 1/2” long, mounting plate measures 2” long and ⅝” wide, screw measures ½” long

  • Includes T-Head screw lead anchor, security mounting plate, and two (2) #6 screws;

  • Zinc-plated steel

  • JCAHO-compliant

Quantities of 25 or more are bulk packed (not packed as individual sets) - Contact us if you need the kits packaged individually as this will incur an additional cost.

Instructions

  1. Attach the mounting plate onto the back of the frame’s bottom rail using the #6 screws.

  2. Using a 5/16" masonry drill bit, drill a 1" deep hole in the brick or concrete wall. Align its position with the mounting plate’s position on the frame.

  3. Tap the lead anchor into the hole with a hammer.

  4. Insert the T-Head security screw and gently screw it into the anchor, leaving the screw’s head about ⅜” out of the wall so the security plate can slip over the T-Head screw.

  5. Hang the frame.

  6. Lock the frame to the wall using a security wrench (sold separately) by engaging and disengaging the T-Head screw.
