Brass 50 lb Hook

S-HWR-2332-50X

Size: 10 Pack ($1.34 Each)

About the Product

Brass hooks are reliable picture hangers that provide additional holding power for pictures. They come with pointed brass nails to maximize wall support while leaving only a pin-sized hole on the wall to minimize wall damage. These professional  picture frame hangers are used often in art galleries and museums.

  • Brass-plated  picture hooks for  hook and wire hanging on drywall, wood panels, and plaster walls
  • Measures 1 1/8” long and 7/8” wide, nail measures 1 ⅜”
  • Supports up to 50 lbs
  • Includes two nails per hook
  • Brass-plated with hardened blue steel nails

Instructions

  1. Mark the position of the hanger on the wall using a pencil, then hold the  picture hook in the marked position.

  2. Hammer the nails gently into the nail sockets until the hook is flush against the wall. The raised nail sockets on the hook will guide the nails into the wall at the proper 45-degree angle. Avoid over hammering as it can compromise the hook’s holding power and damage your wall.

  3. If using two hooks, space them apart evenly and repeat steps 1-2. TIP: When hanging hook & wire hung picture frames, pictures will hang straighter and be more secure over time with two hangers.

  1. Hang the frame.

  2. To remove a brass-plated hook, pull the nails back at a 45-degree angle with a slight twisting motion using fingers or soft-faced pliers. Prying hooks away from the wall with a screwdriver or a similar tool will often damage the wall surface.

  3. To reuse a brass-plated hanger, ensure the hook and nails have not been bent or deformed.

Q What picture hanging hardware do professionals use?

Professional installers, galleries, and museums commonly use brass wall hooks, D-ring hangers with picture wire, French cleats for heavy items, security kits for anti-theft protection, and gallery systems for rotating displays. Our products have been trusted by pros since 2005.

Q How do I choose the right picture hanging hardware?

Consider three factors: your frame type (wood or metal), the weight of your item, and your wall type. For wood frames, choose from D-rings, sawtooth hangers, or French cleats.
