Brass 100 lb Hook

HWR-2332-100X

Size: 10 Pack ($1.81 Each)

About the 100 Lbs Brass Hook

  • Brass-plated hooks used for hook and wire hanging
  • Excellent choice for plaster walls since the needlepoint nails will penetrate plaster and minimize plaster damage
  • Works well in drywall and wood panel walls
  • 1 1/2" high x 1 3/8" wide
  • Three thick nails per hook to support weight
  • Holds up to 100 pounds

Instructions

  1. When hammering brass-plated hook nails into the wall, the raised nail guide socket(s) on the front face of the hook will guide the nails into the wall at the proper 45-degree angle
  2. Do not over-hammer the nails--just tap them in gently until the back of the hook is flush with the wall. Nailheads can be damaged by hammering that is too strenuous.
  3. Consider using two hooks, spaced apart appropriately, for all your hook & wire hung picture frames. Your pictures will stay straighter, longer, and they will be more secure over time.
  4. Always apply picture load gradually on brass-plated picture hooks to insure proper hold.
  5. With wired picture frames where you are "working blind," always check behind the hung picture to make sure that the picture wire is actually caught on the hook portion of the hook and has not gotten snagged on the top edge of the hook by mistake.
  6. To remove brass-plated hooks, pull the nail(s) directly back at a 45-degree angle with a slight twisting motion, using fingers or soft-faced pliers. Prying hooks away from the wall with a screwdriver, etc. will often damage the wall surface.
  7. As long as a removed brass-plated hook or nail has not been bent or deformed, it can be reused.
